Communication skills

On Friday, I was staying after school for tutoring. well, I wouldn't call it tutoring. I would call it extra help for this big test coming up about our "Summer reading" book, The Stealth of Nations. You could learn more about my frustrations with this book here and here. I use the term "summer reading" loosely because my teacher's communication skills aren't the best and failed to contact people about the book. In return, he said he would push the test back. This is good thing because I get extra days to study and prep fro the test. He even decided to have studying and tutoring sessions. I didn't  go to the first two thinking that I get the  gist of those chapters. I finally decided to buckle myself down and go to the chapter 9&10 session. I knew for sure that my teacher was going to drop hints and basically give us the answers on the test so I was ready to take notes and everything.

My friend and I  decided to go with me to the tutoring so we both went to the class after the last bell rang. We stalled a little bit but decided to go. We sat down and three other people were in there. We put down our stuff. I pulled out my book all ready to learn. The teacher started talking and said he was tired and didn't want to do the tutoring today. He gave us a fake yawn and everything. We laughed and sat down. He went back to clicking away on his computer.

A few minutes later the three of them left. The teacher was still clicking around on his computer. I pointed to my watch and then to the teacher. My friend shrugged. I asked my teacher if he was serious earlier about no tutoring today. He said yeah, I was serious. Bye.

I stood there shocked out of mind. What does he mean, tutoring is cancelled? I thought he was being sarcastic earlier. He's always sarcastic!You can tell how sarcastic he is because I italicized, underlined, and made "always" bold.


I told him I had my thinking cap on and was ready to learn. All he said in return without looking up from his computer was sorry. He let us sit there for twenty minutes.

The crazy man. He gets on my absolute nerves.

Both our rides weren't going to be there until an hour later so we went to my sister's practice which was boring as usual. I rather not go into detail about that. It's not important to the story.

When practice ended, my friend's ride was there. Our dad still was no where to be found. I called him and he said he was still at work and he would be there in 25 minutes. I didn't really care to hear that. He was supposed to be here already. I reminded him. My sister reminded him. My mom reminded him. By the way, he got there in 28 minutes.

All I did while I waited was roll my eyes and become angrier by the second. I was so mad. Nothing was going as planned.

I guess you could tell everyone's communication skills were just not working that day.

Sitting on the sidelines

Hey everyone. I'm out here sitting on the sidelines of the soccer feild again. Yup it's funny how my life seems to he this planned out schedule type of deal.

His time of year is soccer and volleyball season which kind of sucks for me since I get dragged along to each practice (more or less).

I try not be one of those constant complainers but this is just one of those things that really bother me. I just hate it how they don't want to participate or go to practices but want to play the sport. It's either all or nothing. I don't like it when people do partial crap. 

This especially gets on my nerves how my sister dislikes her coach and gets mad every practice but continues to go to every practice. Why do something that claims to make you miserable? 

I understand that everyone wants their off days but you can't just dismiss everything you have to do to until the game and except to win if you are a competitive person like my sister. 

Ever. 

My brother on the other hand doesn't really care about winning or losing that much when he plays sports but don't ever mess with him when he lost one of his lives in a video game. Ever.

Magic Movie

Last weekend I went to the movie theater to go see Now You See Me with my friend. My sister got so mad at me for seeing the movie before her. She made me promise that since I that I wouldn't say a single word about the movie and I just have to share my opinions with someone, but don't worry I won't give you any spoilers. I'll just give my brief review of the movie because the trailer doesn't really explain and make you want to really see the movie in my opinion.






I love the line in the movie "the closer you think you are the more you actually don't see". That is the line that makes the movie awesome. It is a lot of twist and turns in the movie. That's what makes the movie brilliant. Brilliant.

The main idea of movie is that they are four magicians that meet and team up to pull off the greatest magic tricks ever to help people who were wronged, but they do that by stealing from others (the people who did the wrong). While they are trying to help the good, the cops are right on their tails and can never catch them. The closer the cops actually think they got them, the more they are behind.

It is one of those movies that you try to figure out and the puzzle keeps getting twisted. It fun and thrilling. I loved it.

Cleaning

Hey everyone.
Yesterday I helped cleaned up my brother's room AGAIN. We spent hours in there. Accordingly to my sister she said we spent about three hours cleaning.  I almost went insane trying to keep him to focus for five minutes. Every time we pulled a toy out he wanted to play with it. He played almost the whole time I was trying to get him to focus on organizing. Then, he insisted that he needed a break.

Um, excuse me but you have been having a break this whole time. Do you not understand?

I even tried a ton of different tactics to try and make cleaning and organizing fun. Ugh. Didn't work. I think he knows he is being difficult and he enjoys seeing me in a state of frustration.

 

Yeah, I been watching a lot of Supernanny reruns and America's Supernanny.

 

 

I probably did about 90% of work which is unbelievable and unacceptable. I honestly asked for it though. I volunteered to help him clean his room.

What was I thinking?

 

 

 



Observations at volleyball

We are mean green, fighting machine, everybody hit the floor and scream, gooooo greeeeen.
That is what I just witnessed at this volleyball game and when the dropped to the floor they really did scream.
They screamed.

I flashback to when my brother use to hit the floor with his fist and cry about what he wanted. He got this technique from a tv show. Way to go, what my mom calls, the idiot box. I don't know why she calls it that. Are we the idiots? Is the 'box' the idiot? Are we turning into idiots? I don't know.

My brother was throwing a tantrum. What sparked it? I don't know but it about the age 5 so not to long ago he's 7 now. It was the time were my brother went through his terrible two faze again.

I come back to reality just enough to see them lose a point the green team jumps to block the net. People are cheering and I just look like a misfit.

I look back to my iPod. Five min past. I look up again to see a ball flying towards the other stands. Luckily not over here because I was not paying any attention. (click read more button if on home page)

Why am I so obsessed with Make it or Break it?
It is a show about girls training to be in the Olympics.  I am watching all the seasons on Netflix. SO no spoilers for me. I'll try to not spoil anything for you  if you haven't watched it. I have been watching it for about two weeks now. It is really good. At the beginning of watching it, I was a little skeptical about how the show would turn out.
This is one of the first times that I am actually glad I'm wrong. So glad. I gave the show a chance and found out that I liked and watching something like this helps me stay on the treadmill a little bit longer.
So I wanted a treadmill that had a desk so that way you could walk and accomplish stuff at the same time.

I thought I was a genius.

 Then I realized that this was an actual thing you could buy. (I could have been rich). I hate having those moments where you thought of an idea and then later down the road you figured out that it was already invented. This video describes exactly what I feel like when this happens.


My sister even said when she was little (like 4 probably) she made up banana bread out of our play food set.... She thought she was a genius. Then when my mom made it one day you should have seen her face. Ha ha. She was probably so amazed and angry at the same time. That's how I felt.

Anyways, I created a make-shift desk out of a little child basket ball hoop. The hoop part hangs over the treadmill's top and creates a 'desk'.t gives me enough room to put my laptop on the top of the hoop.
I don't leave the laptop on the hoop when I leave.  I am too afraid to it will fall when it is unattended or something like. Someone could easily bumped the hoop or something. When I am there by it is fine though.
So when I am a tired of running, I walk while on my laptop. Ta da. Not exactly ideal but, it works and helps keep me motivated.

 

At volleyball practice

Today I'm at my sister volleyball practice. Don't want to be here. MY mom said that I can't watch her for five minutes without technology. She says that is bad. I say I'm just always connected and want to talk to you guys.

Yeah. It is extremely boring here and I don't have that long of an attention span so I don't like these things and they aren't that entertaining. The only entertainment here is you might get hit with a flying volleyball......

Dream Journal: Explaining lucid dreams

OK. The poll is over. SO sad. Anyway, only a few people voted, but that's OK because all the people that voted had fabulous taste in each option. The option that won is Dream Journal. I will be doing the other options too, but not as often as the Dream Journal.

I was thinking that my dream journal will include not only dreams that you have while sleeping, but dreams that I would like to accomplish in life. Plus, like I said in the post about the poll that I will be sharing my lucid dreams.

                Let me give you a little info about lucid dreams, so you can get a better understanding about it. Lucid dreams are kind of like dreams you can control. Most people who have lucid dreams first figure out their skill on accident. I didn't  so that means you can become a lucid dreamer, but it might take a while. It took me about a month of ‘training’ to have my first lucid dream.

Small appple pies & web series update

Happy Birthday Destiny: cookie cake mystery?

Yes, it is my birthday. It has been a fun exciting weekend for me. I am only confused about the cake though. See this bow. This bow looks edible right, so I ate it. It was hard and didn't have a taste to it. My mom thought it was fondant. it looks like fondant. When i tried the piece I broke off a little and spit it right back out. I thought when you turn a year older you were supposed to a little wiser. I guess this still means you go through trial and error methods. Glad I didn't chip a tooth. But I'm still curious.

Decisions and writing a web series

One week away is my birthday. I will be turning fifteen. Yeah! OK so right now I'm currently  working on the web series I said I was going to be creating. It is going to be a weird kind of comedy that showcases family life and school issues . We haven't started filming yet. We are just writing and rewriting trying to find what kind of style I'm trying to work towards. I would love to hear any suggestions or tips about how to create a web series.
So far, things are starting to sound great. It is kind of hard to make a whole series when you only have two people as your main cast. I have to be the main writer, director, and actor. It is a huge task to take on, but I'm willing to take the challenge.  I juts hope I wouldn't stress myself out too much or drive away my other actor.

Cleaning and organizing

Hello, everyone. Yesterday was full if cleaning and then relaxing that I totally forgot to post about something. I cleaned my room, the living room, and helped clean the den. I cleaned wood surfaces and glass. I was in full cleaning mood. I even thought of cleaning my closest, but to accomplish that I need the whole family's help because some of that stuff in the closest is not mine or mine from a long time ago. It is full of baby stuff. I would take a pic right now how it looks but it is unbearable. I tried to get my sweater out of it and the all the stuff on the middle shelf decided to fall down out of the closest. It had no reason to fall over. Anyway, that is my next goal. It will probably take awhile to get my family to agree on a time to tackle it.
I even cleaned the back of the door. I took all the meaningless posters off of the wall. They don't represent me anymore. I made homemade pockets out of paper and decorated them with my sister. It was really neat how they turned out. I made a ton of pockets hoping this would help me stay organized and keep everything in its spot because the things on the wall are all things that I lose too often. It was time to get this organized and know where my things were. Ok bye, readers see you later.

Working with my sister

Hey readers, I am really confused right now about this web series idea. I don't know if my sister is right for the job. She kind of doesn't want to do anything, but the acting. And when she does do it, she has no passion behind stage. What do you think? She constantly has either too little passion or giggling nonstop. I tell her that she has to be serious if she wants to be successful. We have to make the series make sense, right? She says she just wants to be YouTube famous. My point is you have to be having fun but know what your doing too. You can't put no work into to something and expect people to watch it.

An idea: A web series?

I just found a web series called Squareville. It is fantastic, I also found out that it is a second season coming soon. I think it should be more web series out there that represent life, everyday situations while the actors enjoy making these videos. I decided, it is not official, to create a web series. Don't get to excited, yet. I just wanted to pitch this idea about making a series about everyday life and how teenage girls try to meet their goals, survive high school, and face obstacles. We try to make this dream a reality. Moving sweaters?

OK, so my sister and I made this fantastic video using stop motion. It was a ton of editing. I forgot how much stop motion takes out of you. It was so tiring and then when you you get done it was only a few seconds long. The video was about these moving sweaters that we encountered and then we get so freaked out about how they are moving and run away. Then, the sweater do their little dance i guess. Yes, I know it is cheesy and a little ridiculous, but we wanted to showcase our sweaters in a fun and new way. It was fun to film and take pics all day. I think it took a hour to take all the photos and another hour to do the filming. It took about two hours(because i was being lazy) to edit. It took a while to upload and finish it since school is back in. Winter break has been officially over for a week now, so sad. Hey, education is important though. I'm complaining that much. I'm just complaining a little. I was so glad to see my friends again and not be completely bored all day.

Our small wet seal haul

Our small wet seal haul is a video where we show off our new skirts we got from wet seal last weekend. Sorry it took so long for it to upload, YouTube was not be ing that smart. I got really furstrated and everything. It probably took about six hours i think. Plus, we had to film and edit. We had to match the music with the video. Next time we should really pick the song first.

Anyway, thanks for watching and go shop at wet seal. They are awesome and really cheap if you are on a budget. I think we got three skirts, two pairs of leggings, and four shirts for about fifty bucks including tax. I hope you have a fablous day and stay tuned for more My DD Show episodes! New year's resolutions

My sister and i made a video about our new year's resolutions and how hard it is to keep your resolution for what ever the reason.

The stuffed hippo

Hey, i upload a new YouTube video a few minutes ago. This video was really random. my sister and i made about five different videos. I decided to upload this one because it really explains how crazy and dumb we can get sometimes. I played around with the different videos and came up with this.
