One of those days
It hasn't even been a good few days since I started my writing goal. I'm already drawing a blank.
I have ideas but I'm still drawing a blank. I have many drafts but none of them are "right". They are not wrapped in a nice package and ready for reading. They are in their raw state of writing. They look extremely rough.
A sentence here. A fragment there. Gibberish everywhere.
It's one of those days where nothing seems good. I'm still writing though. I'm keeping my promise, and I'm talking through my frustration through my writing.
Writing is very therapeutic for me. It is all very tranquil. This is one of reasons why I started writing again. I wanted to encourage myself to reflect on my life.
Blogging is very hard. I have to sit myself down and encourage myself to write my thoughts on virtual paper. Sometimes I just don't want to. However, I know it's for the best. You have to look at the big picture.
Farwell, I might have a better post for you guys tomorrow. Alright bye.

Personality Test: Myers-Briggs Type Indicator (INTJ)
The mother-daughter team of Katherine Briggs and Isabel Briggs Myers created the questionnaire inspired by Carl Jung. The questionnaire was based off the four concepts of sensation, intuition, feeling, and thinking.
The opposite end of each spectrum became a letter. In total, it made sixteen personalities. I found this chart that illustrates the concept a little better:

I found it extremely intriguing how accurate these personalities are at representing a person. It is amazing how a few questions can accurate portray a person's paersonality. The intensive research put into this study is phenomenal.
When taking the test myself I discovered my personality type was INTJ. Apparently that means I belong to the analyst group. I was a little surprised when the page told me that I had one the rarer personality types, but it makes sense "INTJs form just two percent of the population, and women of this personality type are especially rare, forming just 0.8% of the population - it is often a challenge for them to find like-minded individuals who are able to keep up with their relentless intellectualism and chess-like maneuvering" (16personalities.com). I never really found anyone that is a mirror image of me--personality wise. I have always had friends that share a few traits with me. They complement me as person, but they never seem like "twins". ![]() |
| I would never physically shoot anything. |
![]() |
| It's a metaphor |
I even came across fictional characters that supposedly have the INTJ personality: Katniss Everdeen, Stewie Griffin, Mr. Darcy, Willy Wonka, and Sherlock. Fictional characters are up for debate. I have read many interpretations of INTJs in the fictional world. Feel free to add to or take anything away from the list. This topic is always up for debate.
The personality type of INTJ (Introverted, Intuitive, Thinking, and Judging) is very isolated and observing. I never realized how analytic and private I am as a person.
I am very reserved. Some people classify that as me being shy. I kindly disagree, I just don't care for the conversation. I rather be alone than in a crowd of people.
I glorify knowledge and rationality. I side with the side of rational thinkers. The cliche "knowledge is power" applies to my life in every aspect.
INTJs unite! (It is probably a good thing that there is not too many INTJs in the world. They would probably battle for dominance and cause an intense world-wide war.)
I would to know your personalities type. Here is the exact test that I took: http://www.16personalities.com/free-personality-test . I also took this test too: http://www.humanmetrics.com/cgi-win/jtypes2.asp .I had to make sure my results were somewhat accurate. I even took a third test: http://www.truity.com/test/type-finder-research-edition
Feel free to leave your personality type in the comments. See you tomorrow.

Is blogging worth it?

The creative ambition to sit and write something of substance is tiring for me. Today, people seem to be fast-paced, abbreviated nonsense, but that is okay. Social media is evolving and bloggers can totally be a part of it. I think it just takes a little more effort than it did before. You have to make yourself known to the world because the internet is clouded with others trying to self-promote.
It just takes dedication and persistence. I'm still trying to convince myself that blogging is worth for me. Personal reflection and inspiration is why I am blogging. I find comfort in ranting and sharing my current feeling in the blogoshpere. I want to grow as a writer and express myself in a creative space; a place that is untouched by the physical world; an innovative virtual reality that allows me process my thoughts.
Blogging is worth it. Blogging is worth it, if you have passion. You have to have a purpose. Why are you writing? All you need is passion for what you are writing (plus good marketing strategies) and everything else will come with time.

I'm back.
Its been a while...I haven't written a blog post for about a year. Almost a year. 320 days to be accurate. 7680 hours. 460,800 minutes. 27,648,000 seconds. That is crazy amount of time.
I kind of ventured off the path of writing. I used to love writing (fragments and typos included). I really wanted to get back into my writing, but I couldn't bring myself to do it. I have no great excuse or sympathizing reason for my absence. To be honest, no one probably even realized I was even gone.
This is just an introductory post to my blog. Welcome. Some things are going to be changing around here.I'm hoping if I write everything out, I will feel obligated to do it. So here goes nothing:
- I want to write everyday (even if I only publish one sentence)
- I want to inspire (that has been my goal since day one)
- Build "my brand" and promote myself
- Interact more with writing communities.
The list is short, but that doesn't mean it will be easy. I'll see you tomorrow. If you have any good advice for beginning writers, I would love to know. How to stay motivated in my writing? How to stay persistent? Where to find inspiration?

DIVERGENT
I just finished reading Divergent a few days ago. In short, wow.
I don't know how I feel how the first book ended. I just know Divergent really was exciting.
The book didn't start up like I thought but was definitely a page turner around the middle of the book.I don't want to give away any spoilers but Beatrice was awesome. I admire the parts in the book where she shows her bravery. The small little details are the things that really make a book for me. I love how Beatrice goes to the tattoo parlor to represent her past. I also like how Veronica Roth uses the theme that selflessness and bravery are often the same thing.
I really love how the pit was depicted in my mind. I pictured it as the inside of an ant hill with its many tunnels and hallways. I think it a place that you could easily get lost in.
I hope the Divergent movie depicts the book well like the Catching Fire movie accomplished.
I can't wait to read the Second book which is on hold at the library right now. Hopefully, I will able to read it soon.
I took a couple of tests to determine my faction and concluded that I belong to the Candor Faction: I value honesty.
Book summary (you should really read it if you haven't yet):

Computer Class
Normally when I go to my first class we do tons busy work which doesn't really have any real meaning behind it.I guess you can't wish for much when it comes to a computer class that doesn't have up to date computers. It is such a cliche; I find it strangely funny.
I had this brilliant opportunity in computer class a few weeks ago to write about anything I wanted. We could write a short story, poem, or song.
I took this as my chance to truly write what I wanted. I toggled over ideas that would be labeled as typical: your idol, your high school experience so far, things you like, and even your favorite thing about yourself. Nothing seemed to spark my interest.
I then googled types of poems. I was sure I was going to write a poem. I saw familar poems and some layouts that I tried before. I stumbled upon a poem that uses mostly questions. It was a format that I heard of but never attempted.
Now, I had a layout plan. Then, I thought about things that I questioned.
Finally, I had my poem. I printed and turned my paper in. I think was awesome and spot on. Simple and sweet. What do you think?
Here's my poem:
I wonder what my teacher thought. I should have asked him.
See you in my next post.
Bye.

My New Love
I'm on the third book which is the City of Glass.
I would highly encourage this series.
What's it about?
1st Book's Description (The City of Bones):
When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing—not even a smear of blood—to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?
This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know...
Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare’s ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.
Why is it amazing?
In my opinion the characters are more important than anything. More important than the plot, setting, or writing style. The characters make the story. Clare nailed it when it came to the characters. I love the dialogue and how the characters interact with each other.
They always have something snappy to say at the other. It is amazing how they get anything done in the books so far.
I'll right an updated version of this review when I finish all the books. So far, so good.
Did you hear, it's a movie too?
The movie wasn't the best but the dialogue from the book was pretty much the same which I loved. The ity of Bones didn't get much praise but it wasn't a complete fail. Despite the critics, rumors has spread that the second book the City of Ashes is set in pre-production. They're changing up a lot of things to make it a really big success. I hope the 2nd movie is spot on like the Catching Fire Adaption.
Here's the trailer:
Favorite Quote from series so far:
