I changed my mind.

Hey everyone!

Does anyone remember how I said I wanted to stay in school a few months ago? ell, if you don't remember that's fine I have the post right here. I changed my mind. I don't want to go back just yet. No, no, and NO.
Why did I ever say I wanted to stay in school? What was I thinking?

You'll have to drag me kicking and screaming because at this point in my summer I didn't really do anything that I promised myself that I would do. I told myself that I was going to try to brainstorm and complete my novel's storyline. I was going to blog nonstop like twice a day each day. I wanted to hang out with my friends at least once a week. I wanted to do so much.

Now, I have less than a week before school starts up again.

And what did I mainly do?

Sleep. Eat. Read. Spend endless hours on the internet.

I accomplish bare minimum of my goals.

The strange thing is that even though I did accomplish bare minimum of my goals, I did do some amazing stuff, now that I think about it.

I went to New Oreleans, reached my 100th post, relaxed, went to Holiday World, and yes endless hours on the internet.

Liebster Again

Awww, thanks +Sunny Williams. She has nominated me for Liebster Blog Award. She is the author of The Sightly awkward Geek. I'm surprised I haven't heard of her blog before. It is awesome. Highly recommended.
So the rules:

1.You link back to the person who nominated you.
2. You must tell 11 random facts about yourself.
3. Answer the questions that the nominator asked you.
4. Nominate 11 bloggers. (let them know they are nominated)
5. Ask those bloggers 11 original questions.
6. Post the Award on your blog. (Show off your bling)

11 Random facts:
1. I'm chewing a piece of Trident Layers Gum. My favorite.
2. I love the color purple. Purple everything.
3. I love to keep journals. Part of the reason why I started a blog.
4. I love candles.
5. Apparently, I say I love a lot.
6. I always try to see the good in people. It is a gift and a horrible curse.
7. I dislike playing sports.
8. I probably send too many hours roaming the internet and watching TV.
9. I totally just got distracted from writing this post and started watching Daily Grace.
10. I am a fanatic over nail polish. I love doing my nails.
11. I love schedules and making to-do lists. I like the structure and order of them.

Sunny's Questions:
1. If you could recommend one spectacular, life changing book, what would it be? (For my reading list muahaha)
I would recommend any of Amanda Hocking's book. She is pure awesomeness.
2. If you could transport yourself into one fictional world or situation, what would it be?
I would transport to Amy Plum's Die for Me. The characters live in this awesome mansion in France. Sounds pretty awesome.
3. What would you like to happen to you when you die?
Hopefully, I would get to go the majesty Heaven and hang out with people that love.
4. What Hogwarts house would you be in? - Don't stereotype Hufflepuffs, please.
I know I 'm going to get a lot of raft for this but I'm not that big of a Harry Potter fan. Honestly, I haven't picked up the book or seen the movies. (Don't hurt me). Anyway, I been doing some research and even taking like five test. They all say the same thing. I guess that means I'm a Ravenclaw.
5. What is your major pet peeve?
When people act like they don't care. When people don't be their true self. When people don't close the fridge. I guess you could say people in general.
6. Why do you blog?
I love to write and have way to save memories.
7. Have you ever had a dream that you just can't forget? What is it?
Yeah, I had a dream where I could see all these germs. It was sheer terror.
8. What is your craziest ambition?
I really want to be a published author. So bad. To have my book be in multiple stores and for people to actually read it.
9. What is the most attractive thing you find in a person?
They have to be gentleman. No annoying jerks allowed.
10. If you could give everyone in the world one thing (each) as a present to us all, what would you give?
I would try to give everyone happiness. If everyone could be happy we could unite as a world and help each other with other major issues. As cliche as it sounds a smile goes a long way.
11. If you could meet one fictional character, who would it be?
I would totally want to meet Amanda Hocking's Wendy. She is strong and lives in this big fancy house. She has awesome friends. And with her around you are always safe. I want to say more but it would give away serious details of the series.

My Questions:
1. What is your secret obsession?
2. Who is your favorite music artist?
3. What is your astrological signs?
4. Morning or night?
5. Favorite childhood cartoon character?

10. Who is the last person you talked to?
11. Any silly childhood fears?

My nominees (I really couldn't find 11 bloggers. Yup, I'm a rule breaker, but give me a break. Last time it took me two and half days to find 11 bloggers):
1. Jenna: http://anythingandeverythingofeverydaylife.blogspot.co.uk/
2.Olivia: http://itsschippy.blogspot.com/
3.Shae: http://thediaryofanunpopularcheerleader.blogspot.com/2013/07/an-i-with-branches.html

OK I'm done. Thanks again, Sunny. I'm so happy that you like my blog.

Again all the blogs I mentioned in this post are highly recommended.

Red Light

So a few days ago (Sunday), I was reading on Wattpad. The main teenage girl started talking about how both parents were killed in a car crash. Both. Admittedly since the author didn't elaborate about the girl's situation, I amused that the author just didn't want to add two more characters to the mix. Some stories drop like huge detail on the character and leave it hanging like it is no big deal.  I thought how cliche and unrealistic can you get. The author didn't make or set up the scene to create an impact.  It just didn't seem real.

Later that afternoon, my mom was talking about how my dad and her went to take back the rental minivan that we had rented for our weekend getaway. They just finished dropping off the minivan. They wet to pick up our dog at the boarders. They stopped at the light that was broken a few days ago. Traditional when you the light stops working you treat as if it was a four way stop. Anyway, the light was working this time. It just turned green.

Here comes this big company truck speeding and running the red light just right before my mom was about to make a left turn with my dad in the passenger's seat. The truck ran the second light down the road, but stopped at the third. THEY FINALLY STOPPED AT THE THIRD INTERSECTION. Why would they go through all that trouble and almost seriously injure my family to only go a few hundred feet down the road? That doesn't make sense, obviously. I just want to express to that person how stupid of a move they made. Then, I snap back to reality and realize that would never work. They wouldn't understand. And even if they did understand they would go back and act like I said nothing to them.

Has anybody heard the term you better check yourself before you wreck yourself. That person would have literally wrecked himself, the company truck, my parents, and our car.

My mom told me see wish she got the licence plate and reported him to his company. Honestly, I don't think that would have helped much. It probably wouldn't help at all.

It didn't seem real. It felt like I was reading the story I read earlier that day.

Can you believe this:
This is my 100th post.

You can't see me right now, but I'm doing my little happy dance.
Yeah I was pretty happy!
I noticed that I been doing my little happy dance a lot lately. I been so happy and relaxed.  The only thing stressing me out is this AP summer reading project and knowing going back to school is just around the corner, but I don't want to talk about that right now. This all about happy times while writing my blog:

It crazy that more than half of the year has gone by so fast. I'm looking forward to writing more and more. This 100 post is a huge milestone for me. I never thought that I would stick to something for so long. I finally found something that saves memories and can be shared with the world that is fun to create.

"This is my life! Welcome."- Like OMG Post

Nature girl

(Grrr, somehow blogger make this post into a draft with out me knowing it. It deleted the the comment that I saw later in my email. Blogger has mind of its own. Ok so here it goes. I'm going to write this post over again even though I barely remember what I wrote. So that technically makes my 100th post my 99th but shhh don't tell anyone. Technically.)

I am not a nature girl, but nature is so beautiful. I hate outside. I never really liked going outside. I do not like sweat or smell from outside. I hate it. I been trying to appreciate being outside more. Well, I been force to appreciate being outside.

A few days ago I saw a deer that has been lingering in my grandparent's neighborhood. It was just munching on grass not having a care in the world. That deer must have been use to people because it didn't seem frazzled by our  appearance.

That's when i realized that Nature is beautiful. I wish I was a nature girl. Then I snap back to reality and say that will never happen. Never.

Tourist

Hey everyone!
Guess, what? It's story time.

A month ago, as I told you, I was on vacation. I went to New Orleans with my family. We were totally out of our element. We never went south west of Tennessee. Anyway back to the story we were going to go to the aquarium there. To get there we were going to take the street car since it was cheaper than parking in a 20 dollar parking lot for every time we stopped somewhere and still have to walk a mile to get to our destination. It just didn't make sense, so my dad (he made this whole decision by himself) decided let's go get some street car tickets.

We drove around looking for this building that would sell us tickets for the street car. We found the building.  My family being completely clueless circled the block about five times looking for a space to park to go inside. We could only find handicapped spots right in front of this building. Some people were parking along the street. My mom even suggested to park at a fast food restaurant (it was either Burger King or McDonald's). We found that it was a parking garage connected to the building. We had to be buzzed inside. The person who answered let us up. We parked all the way at the top.

I am so afraid of heights and strange places that I was literally freaking out.

We walked down these dingy stairs with this bad lighting. I was terrified. This place didn't look so friendly. We found this door that was extremely heavy for me (I'm not that strong). We went inside the door. I held the door with my foot just in case we get locked down there. To our right was some sort of room with big windows. It had a TV, chairs, and food in there. It was a break room. My Dad opened another door and quickly shut it back.

I started freaking out. I knew we somehow ended up in the wrong building. My mom was saying this is a real business place. I was about to go back into the door. Everyone followed the direction from were we came. Here comes a guy in his work uniform approaching us wondering what the heck we were doing there. I felt like a kid caught with his hand in the cookie jar.  He was very nice and lead us to front room through the main work room. It was bus repair place. It was some pretty banged up buses in there. Ugh. I felt so stupid and awkward at this moment. He told us how to get back to our car when we were done.

Turns out the whole time the tickets for the streetcar was on the outside of the building in a little corner. The security lady was really nice and told us that she thought we worked there. She's only been working there a few months and doesn't know everybody yet.

We had a strange adventure that day. Oh, the weird places tourists end up.

Why can't I just have a normal vacation for once?
Just chilling some where nice. Where the people serve you all day.
That would be nice.
Just a do nothing day.
NOTHING.

Food Frutrations

Why do I always do this:
I go in fridge and look at the various things in there. I stare in there and move things around trying to find something tasty. I end up with nothing.

I always pick a food in the pantry or the fridge that I know I don't like. Today, I tried these hot and spicy Cheez Its and even a fresh peach again knowing that I tried it in the past but convincing myself that I'll love it. To no surprise I dislike the Cheez It. I swallow it but didn't eat the other half crumbling in my hand.

I should have taken a picture, but this all
I could find on Google images.
Then I make myself try a fresh peach. I liked peaches I don't know what happened to make my appeal of them changed. I know I don't like the fuzzy outside skin so I decide that I'll just cut off the skin and eat it like that.

I kind of forgot that peaches are squishy so I completely murdered the thing trying to cut the skin off. In frustration, I ate it anyway even though it didn't look good.  I made a mess. I made a disgusting mess...I murdered the thing. My mom just shook her head at me.

Why?

I don't know. Maybe I think I'll try different kinds of brands or different ways of preparations or recipes then I'll like the food. It always fails. I don't know.

Just another strange thing that I seem to do.

But when I do find something I like I'm crazy about it. I love food. I'm not a fancy foodie, but I do love food.

I got a blog award. I, Destiny, got nominated for the Liebster Blog Award by +Aaron Connolly : http://meandmyselfonline.blogspot.com/   and +Anya Felix : http://yeahimateenageblogger.blogspot.com/ . In virtual class

I'm in a virtual class right now and  I'm of like 4 people. It really interesting: the concept of virtual class. I always thought this how I would want my class in real life. I don't think so anymore. Yeah I can eat and switch over to my blog and type here.

We are talking about that summer reading book. Yup, the book that I totally dissed. And then turned around and said that I love the author.

My teacher is great (hope my teacher isn't reading this) but he is talker. He is the book Neuwirth. (the rambler). I believe that if you ramble on about something in extreme detail, you are passionate about that topic. And my teacher is highly passionate.
So that's what I was up to for the day.

At the end of the book talk, I felt exhausted. I don't know why. It was actually like I was in class. It kind of disgusted me in a way. It was like how dare you turn my comfy home into some type of learning environment with your face on my screen when I'm supposed to be eating junk food while watching TV.

Joking aside, my teacher actually helped me understand and have a richer understanding about the book. He's awesome, but I can tell we're going to debate about certain topics.

(Wish me good luck because this teacher actually wants to teach. His class is going to be hard but worth it.)

Summer Reading Projects

I love reading, but summer reading projects are not the same. It's called summer break for a reason.

A teacher picks out this boring book that you end up having to do a report or take a test about. Usually after you read the book and take a test over it, you never hear about that book again. Then it pops up on the final exam and your like: I don't remember anything from that book. What was the name of it again?

That's me. I been reading this book called The Stealth of Nations. It is about the economy and stuff like that. It is really boring and it's not because of the topic. It is because of the author. The way he writes seems like you're in a conversation with a very interesting person, but he's super boring. He's a details man. He rambles. He says the same thing like three times and then moves to a complete opposite standpoint. It is like he's having a conversation with himself and your on the side nodding in agreement with him.

Personal, I lost interest in the book and it has been such a drag reading it. I think this 258-small-print-paged book could be chopped in half and still made sense and have all the information in it.

After reading a good 40 pages on the book I found Neuwirth, the author, on this website talking about his book to an audience in Europe. After watching the video, I had a new respect. Watching him on that stage, it made the book earlier to understand. In that 15 minutes of talking he basically summed up his book.

His book doesn't seem like him. He is not a rambler or boring. I think it is time I give this book a second chance. (Plus, my grade depends on it. I have no choice.)

TV show series

Today I finally finished a TV show series that was put on Netflix: Jane by Design. It was good and I hate how so many questions went unanswered and the show got canceled (such a shame). I was so bored about what to do next.
It was like my life was non existent without a screen shoved in my face.

This was just like the time I watched all the Lizzie Bennet Diaries in two days or when I watched all the seasons of Make it or Break it in a week. I don't know why  I do this type of stuff to myself, but you get caught up in the story and next thing you know it ends.

You been part of this person's life. And the thing is, I would never watch that type of stuff when it first came out.

I like how you can click and there's the next episode. You don't have to wait. That's what makes those episodes so appealing. Then you get attached to the characters and the show's actual idea. The first appeal is watching it at your own will and knowing that all the episodes are right there.

It is sad that all good things must come to an end or does it.
Yup, I think it does.  So far it always has.

A Real Draw My Life

I was doing my daily rounds on the internet yesterday and of course that meant my usual trip down YouTube lane. I found a song about a nipple ring that grew out of someone's body.

Weird but a great song. One of the comments said it is more than just a nipple ring song.

I watched Hello, Harto and a bunch of other videos.

I found one video that actually made me tear up and I'm not the crying-touchy-feely-person:

Flawless: A book Review, I think

I finished this book I was reading called Flawless.
It has been one of those books that I read all it in a just a few days which is rare for me because I have a very picky taste in books and a busy schedule (I pretend to have a busy schedule, but in reality I just have a lot of unfinished projects and a short attention span if I'm not interested).

I really enjoyed this book. Yes, it is predictable, but it is so funny how the author tells the story. I loved how the author gave the main character, Sarah, a voice.

The novel is a modern retelling of Cyrano de Bergerac.

The Sarah and Kristen are both partners in crime of getting this guy named Rock to fall for Kristen even though Sarah likes him too.

"At first when I heard the name Rock I instantly thought of The Rock, duh. Who wouldn't?" My inner girly-girl voice says. Then once I got to know the character, he was a honest, smart person.

To the characters, he is whole packet and more. The book is pretty self-explanatory on the back cover which says:
Sarah loves Rock.
Kristen loves Rock.
Rock loves ?????

And honestly I don't know why I picked up the book. The summary to me didn't really capture the good of the book. Yes, those lines are the gist of the book, but the gist of the book is so boring and predictable. The detail and characters make the story enjoyable and that's what I love about the book.

Dream #6: The messed up mall.

I love these little dream journal entries. I love dreams in general. It really is a peek into your own subconscious.

The dream:
I was with my family and we were all in our swimsuits. We had our towels with us and standing outside of the mall. It was a big iron gate around the mall like it is was exclusive. We entered to the mall and looked around for this free pool to go swimming in.

Of course, when we got there the people was filled to the max. The pool just looked like this narrow swimming lane. How could all those people have such fun in such a tiny space.

(It reminded me of my close water park in my city. Everyone craps into it and it get really
overcrowded. I never been, but I know its crazy. People hop the fence and sneak in all the time.
You can't even swim there. All you can do is stand there and look at the person three inches away from you. Not fun.)

I debated if I should go in the pool with these people. I saw five other family behind us wanting to go in the pool. My mom started to get frustrated and wondered why I dragged her out there just to leave. I told her that I didn't want to go anymore.
