Goals

Hey everybody.

It been days since I blogged due to my new obsession The Sims and I had a nasty little virus on my computer.  It was awful. Both the virus and the obsession.

I have a problem. Why are those little people made of pixels so interesting? Today, I told myself that I will not play at all because I wanted to dedicate myself to my writing and exercising. I'm still trying to reach my goal of 1,000 miles. I haven't actually set a date to finish the miles. But I'm hoping that It's by March. That would make it two years since I started which is really sad, but I could still say I did it.

AND I still want to write a novel and publish by the time I graduate high school. That's almost two years away. AND I haven't even thought of a worthy idea to make into  novel.  AND publishers are tough.

Breath.

This actually why  I put the 1000 miles as a goal.Walking/running makes me calm down in a way. I shouldn't be abusing my way of relaxation by setting a goal and beating myself to complete it.

I think that sounded too harsh. I didn't mean for it sound soooooo harsh. Honest. Everyone is probably saying "Calm down, girl. You're still young."

AND that's how I resorted to the Sims, I think. I can screw up their lives and not take any chances with mine. I can blow their budgets and throw parties every other day. I make them quit their job and constantly enjoy life.
One of my Sims even created a novel and their only problem was to make sure their basic needs were in check: hunger, bladder, sleep and hygiene.

Ugh. They make it look so easy.

Gym class? I rather not.

In my school we have this little thing called Physical Education and every time I take it, it sucks. This school year I have Gym all year long. That wouldn't be so bad if I wasn't so clumsy and actual hand-eye coordination.

People tell ask me all the time why I hate gym class. I just do. I never really liked or had an interest in team sports. I am not a team kind of person. If I happen to be in a team, I am a team player but if I had my choice I would want to work on my own thing every time.

Back to my story, I heard all these stories about how gym was going to make me so tired and sore. I heard how I was going to be doing circuit training to the max (a series of little workouts. Ex: push ups, sit ups, jumping rope, and jumping jacks).  I was so afraid of this class and this man. I hadn't exercised in about a three weeks so I amused I would be sore in the morning.

The night before I packed my gym clothes and went to sleep thinking that I was going to have an awful time (I had a lot of bad gym experiences in the past Ex. falling in class, sitting out of activities, and awkward dances. The things they made us do).

When it was finally in gym at the end of the day I was freaking out.

The stretching part at the beginning where everyone was standing perfectly apart was very awkward. The coach barked out all these orders and different stretches. When we did our circuit training we didn't stand in one place very long to really 'feel the burn' which was fine but we never really got started.

By the end of it though I was fine. I survived and it wasn't that bad. I think I did pretty well.  I was more in shape than I thought  I was.

I let all those people freak me out for nothing. I had to see and experience it for myself.

Determined to win

This weekend has been full of adventures and family activities. And before you ask, yes this teen actually just said it is fun to hang out with the family sometimes.

On Saturday, I walked 7.83 miles on the treadmill and I was tired. My goal was to hit 7.6 miles to have 500 miles done on chart towards 1,000 which is a lot. Then, I thought I would shoot for 8 miles, but I was just too tired and I already reached for my goal.

In the middle of doing my miles, my brother wanted to go play baseball outside. First it was just my brother and dad. Then my mom decided to take up the job as their umpire. I came outside because I wanted to walk our dog. My dog and I ended up playing around instead. I decided that I wanted to bat one time. My sister then decided she wanted to take on the guys.  I couldn't leave my sister hanging, so i joined her team.

I became invested in the game. I was going win. I had to win even though we were sloppy in keeping score. I stroke out about 4 times, but I was still determined to win. My sister was one first base and I was up to bat.  I hit the baseball and I was off. We both made it home and according to my brother we won.

The next morning when I woke up and got out of bed I was soooooo sore. I could barely move (I'm exaggerating but I was sore). Then, my brother slipped a note under the door later that day asking if I wanted to play baseball again.

I was like,
