DIVERGENT

This may contain spoilers.

I just finished reading Divergent a few days ago. In short, wow.

I don't know how I feel how the first book ended. I just know Divergent really was exciting.

The book didn't start up like I thought but was definitely a page turner around the middle of the book.

I don't want to give away any spoilers but Beatrice was awesome. I admire the parts in the book where she shows her bravery. The small little details are the things that really make a book for me. I love how Beatrice goes to the tattoo parlor to represent her past. I also like how Veronica Roth uses the theme that selflessness and bravery are often the same thing.

I really love how the pit was depicted in my mind. I pictured it as the inside of an ant hill with its many tunnels and hallways. I think it a place that you could easily get lost in.

I hope the Divergent movie depicts the book well like the Catching Fire movie accomplished.

I can't wait to read the Second book which is on hold at the library right now. Hopefully, I will able to read it soon.

I took a couple of tests to determine my faction and concluded that I belong to the Candor Faction: I value honesty.

Remember faction before blood

Book summary (you should really read it if you haven't yet):

In Beatrice Prior's dystopian Chicago world, society is divided into five factions, each dedicated to the cultivation of a particular virtue—Candor (the honest), Abnegation (the selfless), Dauntless (the brave), Amity (the peaceful), and Erudite (the intelligent). On an appointed day of every year, all sixteen-year-olds must select the faction to which they will devote the rest of their lives. For Beatrice, the decision is between staying with her family and being who she really is—she can't have both. So she makes a choice that surprises everyone, including herself.
During the highly competitive initiation that follows, Beatrice renames herself Tris and struggles alongside her fellow initiates to live out the choice they have made. Together they must undergo extreme physical tests of endurance and intense psychological simulations, some with devastating consequences. As initiation transforms them all, Tris must determine who her friends really are—and where, exactly, a romance with a sometimes fascinating, sometimes exasperating boy fits into the life she's chosen. But Tris also has a secret, one she's kept hidden from everyone because she's been warned it can mean death. And as she discovers unrest and growing conflict that threaten to unravel her seemingly perfect society, she also learns that her secret might help her save those she loves . . . or it might destroy her.
Veronica Roth is the New York Times bestselling author of Divergent, the first in a trilogy of dystopian thrillers filled with electrifying decisions, heartbreaking betrayals, stunning consequences, and unexpected romance.

My New Love

I absolutely love the Mortal Instruments Series by: Cassandra Clare.

I'm on the third book which is the City of Glass.

I would highly encourage this series.

What's it about?
1st Book's Description (The City of Bones):

When fifteen-year-old Clary Fray heads out to the Pandemonium Club in New York City, she hardly expects to witness a murder—much less a murder committed by three teenagers covered with strange tattoos and brandishing bizarre weapons. Then the body disappears into thin air. It’s hard to call the police when the murderers are invisible to everyone else and when there is nothing—not even a smear of blood—to show that a boy has died. Or was he a boy?

This is Clary’s first meeting with the Shadowhunters, warriors dedicated to ridding the earth of demons. It’s also her first encounter with Jace, a Shadowhunter who looks a little like an angel and acts a lot like a jerk. Within twenty-four hours Clary is pulled into Jace’s world with a vengeance, when her mother disappears and Clary herself is attacked by a demon. But why would demons be interested in ordinary mundanes like Clary and her mother? And how did Clary suddenly get the Sight? The Shadowhunters would like to know...

Exotic and gritty, exhilarating and utterly gripping, Cassandra Clare’s ferociously entertaining fantasy takes readers on a wild ride that they will never want to end.

Why is it amazing?

In my opinion the characters are more important than anything. More important than the plot, setting, or writing style. The characters make the story. Clare nailed it when it came to the characters. I love the dialogue and how the characters interact with each other.

They always have something snappy to say at the other. It is amazing how they get anything done in the books so far.

I'll right an updated version of this review when I finish all the books. So far, so good.

Did you hear, it's a movie too?

The movie wasn't the best but the dialogue from the book was pretty much the same which I loved. The ity of Bones didn't get much praise but it wasn't a complete fail. Despite the critics, rumors has spread that the second book the City of Ashes is set in pre-production. They're changing up a lot of things to make it a really big success. I hope the 2nd movie is spot on like the Catching Fire Adaption.

Reaction to my 1st post

Yeah, I never thought this moment would come where I made a reaction video but the time has come. Recently, I was scouting for a new blog topic and came a course reaction video. I skipped over it but then came back to it thinking it would be a good idea since my first post was a video.

I never really liked reaction videos but I thought I'll give it a try.

Basically, I cringed the whole time and critic my past self. It was pretty awful but this video isn't all that good either.

Enjoy, I guess.

Oh, yeah and I almost forgot. Here's the link to watch my first blog post.  That way you can watch the video with me and can both cringe together.

I can't believe that it's been about 10 months since I started my blog. Time flies.

See you in the next post. Bye.

summarizing

For one of my school assignments I have to created a summary based on this lecture called the Danger of a Single Story By: Chimamanda Ngozi:

My teacher broke it down a lot. I think he really wants us to grasp every aspect of this lecture and to show us how to take good notes and how to write and effective summary of the whole thing. My teacher, trying to brag and say the assignment wasn't impossible, wrote a three thousand word essay about the twenty minute lecture. I think he was really getting being a show off and those words were from something else. I'm 30% sure.My teacher is crazy I can just imagine him sitting there glued to a screen typing away for no reason. He had no purpose to do that. Then, he made an "edited" version that was 90 words long. I took my main points and notes as guideline along with his 90 word count in mind and got to work. I think I did a pretty fantastic job, I may add.
I was so happy when i finished all my homework that night

It might seem strange but summarizing is really hard for me. I want to explain everything to the person I'm talking to and I only have a limited amount of time to say it so they have a basic understanding of the topic. I have to keep reminding myself that the most interesting thing to me isn't that important from a big-picture point of view.

Here's my summary:

As humans we are not single stories; everyone is an individual and cannot be prejudged by someone else’s side of their story. That person doesn't have that individual’s side of their own narrative. We try to predict, assume, and consume the first information we receive, but we have to understand that we are not always completely right. We have the ability to listen and become aware that it is more than one story.

What do you think? Doe it make sense if you haven't listened the lecture before hand?

It is totally short (73 words) and every time I look at it I want to add a few more hundred words to it.

I'm going to just leave it alone. Every time I second guess myself in the past, I make it worse and I turn in a big sloppy mess.

A Real Draw My Life

I was doing my daily rounds on the internet yesterday and of course that meant my usual trip down YouTube lane. I found a song about a nipple ring that grew out of someone's body.

Weird but a great song. One of the comments said it is more than just a nipple ring song.

I watched Hello, Harto and a bunch of other videos.

I found one video that actually made me tear up and I'm not the crying-touchy-feely-person:

Catching up on my DVR

I haven't been blogging like I was for quite awhile. It's been ten days. I'm the type of blog that really wants to reach her audience every other day. Its been hard trying to think of something to write about. Then, I was really busy because I went on vacation. It was awesome, but I missed my little blog readers.

Enough with the apologize for having a LIFE which I do have. It might not seem like it, but I don't loom around the computer all the time. Only about 80% of my life is about me flashing a screen in front of my face.

When I came back home yesterday I was so tired, but I practically made my tired eyes stay up to watch one of my favorite show Drop Dead Diva on the DVR. I found it weird how they started the show back on the same day and everyone obviously looked different. Besides the fact, the show is brilliant and keeps making fun different turns from the average show. They always male me curious to think what is coming next.

The next morning, I jumped up early because I couldn't sleep. I was extremely exhausted, but I was excited to go get my dog that was still at the boarding place. Before we left, I watched my recording of Pretty Little Lairs. I have to say it is less thrilling to watch Pretty Little Liars when it's not dark outside and you have the will to rewind so you don't have to hang on to every word the lairs are saying. My opinion.

Then tonight, I watched Whodunnit with my whole family minus my little brother (he was a little scared, I don't blame him). IT was extreme I had to admit. I had no idea how the show was going to work, but I enjoyed it. The preview to next show it what horrified, but amazed me the most.  I love how they're really pushing the limits of reality TV. So incredible. I even got the full first episode for you below. Watch it if you dare.

Who do you think the murderer is?

See you in the next post. Trust me. Since I have been back from vacation I found a lot of inspiration and have plenty of stuff to write on my blog.

Magic Movie

Last weekend I went to the movie theater to go see Now You See Me with my friend. My sister got so mad at me for seeing the movie before her. She made me promise that since I that I wouldn't say a single word about the movie and I just have to share my opinions with someone, but don't worry I won't give you any spoilers. I'll just give my brief review of the movie because the trailer doesn't really explain and make you want to really see the movie in my opinion.

I love the line in the movie "the closer you think you are the more you actually don't see". That is the line that makes the movie awesome. It is a lot of twist and turns in the movie. That's what makes the movie brilliant. Brilliant.

The main idea of movie is that they are four magicians that meet and team up to pull off the greatest magic tricks ever to help people who were wronged, but they do that by stealing from others (the people who did the wrong). While they are trying to help the good, the cops are right on their tails and can never catch them. The closer the cops actually think they got them, the more they are behind.

It is one of those movies that you try to figure out and the puzzle keeps getting twisted. It fun and thrilling. I loved it.

Warm Bodies parody: new fav video by Hillywood Show

Yes this is a quick post but I had to share this amazing music parody.

I have watched the movie Warm Bodies and I LOVED IT. I watched in theaters way back when it first came out which was around my birthday. It was amazing and then Hillywood Show made a parody of it.

Two awesome things.

A must watch for those who love zombies and the movie Warm Bodies.

those oh-so relatable videos

Hey guys I found a few videos (3) that are oh-so relatable and that you should WATCH. If you didn't watch these video that would be a crime within itself. These videos make you laugh. And who doesn't like to laugh?
Anyway, I suggust you watch these recommended videos from yours truly and relax.

To be completely honest. I like these type of videos where you can nod your head and are so happy that someone out there understands. Then again these type of videos can get on your nerves and you want to say stop the complaining and just live life. Why do we find people ranting about things so watchable?

'That awkward moment when' stuff does get on my everlasting nerve but you catch yourself saying that 'that really was awkward when that one time...'.

I learned its only awkward if you make it awkward and duh everyone saying 'i'm just all awkward. Nothing about me is normal'. And if everyone saying they're not normal than we are all not normal together making us all normal. Does that make sense? What is normal?

Oh well, I don't know if you get it or you don't but bye.
That was my word of advice for the day.

Watching some YouTube

Love the videos people create on YouTube. I just wanted to give a quick shout out to the people that take time out their to keep me entertained. I usually watch videos that make me laugh, beauty stuff, and some unknown singers or videos about celebs. So if you want me to be a subscriber to your channel, I'm sure it's awesome, I would gladly do that.
I know I spend countless hours looking at YouTube videos listening to people stories and thoughts. I am always interested in a person's personal view of life. I think that's what YouTube is all about to me: showcases your form of art and sharing your experiences.
I just hate how commercials stand in the way of you reaching that art. That will never change sadly. So I'm going to share all the channels I personally subscribed to.

Decisions and writing a web series

One week away is my birthday. I will be turning fifteen. Yeah! OK so right now I'm currently  working on the web series I said I was going to be creating. It is going to be a weird kind of comedy that showcases family life and school issues . We haven't started filming yet. We are just writing and rewriting trying to find what kind of style I'm trying to work towards. I would love to hear any suggestions or tips about how to create a web series.
So far, things are starting to sound great. It is kind of hard to make a whole series when you only have two people as your main cast. I have to be the main writer, director, and actor. It is a huge task to take on, but I'm willing to take the challenge.  I juts hope I wouldn't stress myself out too much or drive away my other actor.

Working with my sister

Hey readers, I am really confused right now about this web series idea. I don't know if my sister is right for the job. She kind of doesn't want to do anything, but the acting. And when she does do it, she has no passion behind stage. What do you think? She constantly has either too little passion or giggling nonstop. I tell her that she has to be serious if she wants to be successful. We have to make the series make sense, right? She says she just wants to be YouTube famous. My point is you have to be having fun but know what your doing too. You can't put no work into to something and expect people to watch it.

An idea: A web series?

I just found a web series called Squareville. It is fantastic, I also found out that it is a second season coming soon. I think it should be more web series out there that represent life, everyday situations while the actors enjoy making these videos. I decided, it is not official, to create a web series. Don't get to excited, yet. I just wanted to pitch this idea about making a series about everyday life and how teenage girls try to meet their goals, survive high school, and face obstacles. We try to make this dream a reality. If you wish to see this become a reality please comment. I encourage you to check out Squareville by clicking the link. Also, if you know of any other web series out there that you think I should check leave a comment about that too. I would love to watch your videos on YouTube too, if you have you have any. If you have any idea about what we subjects we should cover in our upcoming series, let us know. We love to hear all your suggestions and comment. Spread the word about this idea and the rest of this blog.

P.S. Remember this is just an idea. If you really wish to see us make a web series: comment, like, and follow this blog. Also, subscribe to my YouTube channel.

Moving sweaters?

OK, so my sister and I made this fantastic video using stop motion. It was a ton of editing. I forgot how much stop motion takes out of you. It was so tiring and then when you you get done it was only a few seconds long. The video was about these moving sweaters that we encountered and then we get so freaked out about how they are moving and run away. Then, the sweater do their little dance i guess. Yes, I know it is cheesy and a little ridiculous, but we wanted to showcase our sweaters in a fun and new way. It was fun to film and take pics all day. I think it took a hour to take all the photos and another hour to do the filming. It took about two hours(because i was being lazy) to edit. It took a while to upload and finish it since school is back in. Winter break has been officially over for a week now, so sad. Hey, education is important though. I'm complaining that much. I'm just complaining a little. I was so glad to see my friends again and not be completely bored all day.

I hope you stay tuned for more episodes of My DD Show with your beloved DD or Destiny and wild Autumn or AJ.

P.S. Remember to check out the other videos on my YouTube channel and follow blog. It really fun to scream at Autumn for no reason. It was so funny to see her face when i kept jumping out. OK, bye see ya.

Our small wet seal haul

Our small wet seal haul is a video where we show off our new skirts we got from wet seal last weekend. Sorry it took so long for it to upload, YouTube was not be ing that smart. I got really furstrated and everything. It probably took about six hours i think. Plus, we had to film and edit. We had to match the music with the video. Next time we should really pick the song first.

Anyway, thanks for watching and go shop at wet seal. They are awesome and really cheap if you are on a budget. I think we got three skirts, two pairs of leggings, and four shirts for about fifty bucks including tax. I hope you have a fablous day and stay tuned for more My DD Show episodes! Make sure to subscribe to my YouTube channel and share what your fav skirt was in the video.
